Dovetail Contracting is based in Little Silver in Monmouth County, NJ. However, we have the capability to work throughout New Jersey as well as New York City. If you happen to have a project that is out of this footprint we are happy to hear from you and will try to accommodate any requests as best we can.
Our History
Founded in New York City in 2005, Dovetail Contracting is the second general contracting firm of Owner Declan Murphy. Dovetail was founded when Murphy realized the need for trustworthy partners in high-end condo renovations in New York.
Dovetail saw success in Manhattan due to its reputation of high-quality craftsmanship with one of its projects featured in Million Dollar Decorators on Bravo. Dovetail renovated almost 100 apartments in New York before expanding to single family homes and condos in New Jersey in 2014.
Since 2014, Dovetail has expanded its footprint. We are now throughout New York and New Jersey serving both the Residential and Commercial industries. This was achieved by providing the highest-quality workmanship and finishes to both high-end Residential clients as well as industry leading Commercial clients. .
